Stonehenge

Avebury Stone Circle
Enclosing the pretty village of Avebury, Avebury stone circle is one of the most important megalithic monuments in Europe. Originally erected about 4,500 years ago, many of the stones were re-erected in the 1930s by Alexander Keiller. The stone circle is free to visit.

Old Wardour Castle
Old Wardour Castle is located in the Wiltshire countryside near the village of Tisbury. The castle was all badly damaged after a fierce battle and siege in 1643. The romantic ruin, with its lakeside location and landscaped grounds, makes a picturesque setting for picnics and a relaxing day out.
